A greeting letter to the president-elect Barak Obama

Dear Barack Obama,

In several hours, a tremendous time will come when you step to the doors of White House as an African American. Among the sea of greetings to you, here is another drop of greeting from Yao Lifa and Yao Yao live in China. Especially Yao Lifa, who has been fighting for a justice election over 20 years in a city of China named Qianjiang, was invited by the US consulate at Wuhan, capital of a central province, to attend the celebration party and enjoy that very moment.

And for me, I have enjoyed all the time of participating in your volunteer team at New York City during the primary campaign, and the very moment when you won the final election.

Sadly, Yao Lifa, my father, is not able to share the joyful time with you, and the whole world today.

Besides his long time of calling for democracy and fighting for a fair election, his plan of showing himself to the celebration party at US consulate seems offends the local authorities again. They abducted him from Beijing the capital of China, when he was visiting friends on Jan 18th. He is under house arrest now and is not able to connect with friends after that  not able to attend the  celebration party at US consulate in Wuhan today too. It is very hard to believe the Chinese local authority would do illegal things to prevent a Chinese citizen from sharing the joyful time with you, but it happened, right now.

Yao Lifa was eager to join the celebration, but I am sure his heart stays with the people who are celebrating today even he lost his freedom right now.

When the US is going to declare a new era of democracy system which breaks all the wicked slanders about evil US style democracy for the past few years, the people on the other side of the globe at China are still at the time of we shall overcome.

Joys always come with tears. The people on this globe are connected with each other. We share all the good things, suffer all the evil things. We always believes in the good things.

In the end, all my best regards to you, the United States, and the United Nations. We will standing together, because we all believe in we shall overcome one day, whenever this day will be today, or someday in the future.

May the god bless America and the world.

Citizen from People's Republic of China, Yao Yao
